The Aude Ariège

Natural Beauty

The Aude Ariège is an area of great natural beauty. We focus particularly on the villages and market towns close to Carcassonne, Limoux, and Mirepoix. Renowned for its 300 days of sunshine each year, its varied wines, and historical Cathar castles, the area is uncommercialised, yet well served by several airports and a good road network.

Dramatically Varied Landscape

You probably have a vision in your mind of your ideal home in the sun and you’ve worked out that the Aude Ariège is attractive in terms of its position; ideally slotted amidst the stunning town of Toulouse, the Mediterranean sea, and the Pyrénées. That’s a good start. But, even within this comparatively small area of France, the countryside can change dramatically within a few kilometres. We have vineyards around Limoux and Carcassonne and arable and livestock farming towards Mirepoix and further into the Ariège.

Explore Before You Start Looking For a House

That’s why your first visit shouldn’t be to look for your house, but to explore the towns and countryside of this region. You can always decorate or renovate your house, but you can’t move it somewhere else!

Let us help you plan your first visit to explore the Aude Ariège.
