RAZES, 15 MINUTES FROM LIMOUX

I've eaten at this Ferme-Auberge on a number of occasions but am still stunned by the views from its terrace and garden.

It's situated in the middle of 33 hectares of rolling, hilly countryside with no other property in sight. The only sounds are birdsong and the occasional sheep. It could continue as a working farm (the current owners have 110 sheep, some goats and ponies) or it would make a perfect meditational retreat or yoga centre.

This opens into a large room with a lovely big fireplace and French doors out onto a terrace with one of the best views you're ever likely to see! This room is currently used as the dining room for the Ferme-Auberge.

Next to this is a sitting room (or bedroom 5) and a downstairs bathroom.

On the first floor there are four double bedrooms (all with amazing views) and a shower room.

Above this is a large attic space. Beneath the ground floor are extensive cellars, all opening onto the garden.

A door from the hallway downstairs leads into the first of two huge, attached stone barns. Outside there is a large hangar and, behind this, a large animal shed (400m²).

The garden around the house is beautifully landscaped and there is a stone loggia in the midst of it for outdoor eating. There is also a large vegetable patch and a well.

This property is ideal for a number of purposes, whether it be farming or converting the barns into gîtes, but what is special about it is its situation: total peace and tranquillity and breathtaking views.
